People will hate you, rate you, shake you and break you. But how strong you stand is what makes you. think team first it allows me to be succeed it also allows my team to succeed. I like criticism it makes you strong. Your hate makes me stronger.
Commitment is a big part of what I am and what I believe. How committed are you to winning? How committed are you to being a good friend, to being trustworthy? To being successful? How committed are you to being a good father, a good teammate, a good role model? There's that moment every morning when you look in the mirror: “Are you committed or are you not?”
I think the reason why I’m the person who I am today is because I went through those tough times when I was younger. I never got too high on my stardom or what I can do.
You can't be afraid to fall it's the only way you succeed.
You're not going to succeed all the time, and I know this.
You know, my family and friends have never been a yes man, Yes, you're doing the right thing. Yes, you're always right. No, they tell me when I'm wrong and that's why I've been able to stay who I am and stay humble.

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month
Astorian Editorial Submission from Dr. Gerard McShepard, M.S., M.P.H., Ph.D.
Astorian Health Minute
Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month or National Colon Cancer Awareness Month is an annual observance in the United States in March to highlight the importance of screening for colorectal cancer, to increase awareness of colorectal cancer, as well as to promote healthy lifestyle habits that can decrease a person’s risk of developing cancer of the colon, rectum, or anus – the three distinct cancer types referred to collectively as colorectal cancer. In the United States it is organized by the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, Fight Colorectal Cancer Alliance, Fight Colorectal Cancer, the Colon Cancer Coalition, and numerous other organizational and survivor networks.
It is important for Astorians to honor the thousands of colon cancer patients, survivors, and champions by spreading awareness regarding Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.
Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States, behind only lung cancer. The National Cancer Institute projects that 153,020 people in the United States will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2023, and approximately 52,550 will die of it.
Colorectal cancer awareness is important because many cases of cancer of the colon or rectum are preventable. Screening by colonoscopy can prevent this cancer because precancerous polyps found during the procedure can be removed at the same time. Furthermore, colonoscopy can also detect the cancer at early stages, when treatment is more likely to be successful.
The five-year relative survival rate for cancer localized to the colon or rectum is 90.9 percent, according to the National Cancer Institute’s Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) Program. The survival rate drops significantly as the cancer spreads beyond those organs.
Cancer of the colon or rectum is more common in men than women. It is also more common among African Americans than people of other races. The median age of diagnosis in the United States is 66 years, while about 78 percent of newly diagnosed patients are aged 55 and older. The American College of Gastroenterologists recommends African American men be screened starting at age 45 which is earlier than Caucasian men. The reason is that colon cancer is often diagnosed in African Americans a younger age.
To reduce your risk of colorectal cancer:
· Increase physical activity.
· Keep a health weight.
· Limit alcohol consumption.
· Avoid tobacco.
· Eat lots of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains.
· Follow other recommendations from your physician.
