PALS
The Parental Assistance Leadership Service (PALS) Program mentors and encourages Richmond Public School children through a unique partnership between the Fairfield Elementary School, parents and the Astoria Beneficial Club. PALS recognizes that solid citizenship starts when children are young and club members volunteer as room fathers and lunch buddies to help students learn to appreciate themselves and their potential. It helps children to strive for a future of achievement and opportunity.
Volunteers are needed to assist students and teachers at The Fairfield Court Elementary School. Please contact any member of PALS.
“Our Club is a club of service and here is one way that we can do for a generation that might not have a chance if we are not there for them.”
PALs:
Good afternoon Ms. Wright. Allow me to introduce myself and the Astoria Beneficial Club Inc. I am the chairperson of the Astoria Beneficial Club Inc. (PALS) Parental Assistant Leadership Service committee.
Last year the pals committee was not active and there were also administrative changes at the Fairfield court elementary school I have been tasked with the revitalization the committee and its efforts to develop a new partnership I realized that there are several hurdles to gain gaining access to the Richmond public schools any assistance or recommendations you have can provide is greatly appreciated. I've also added some attachments that will give your ideas or what we the Astoria Beneficial Club, Inc. We can partner with various other nonprofits in the community and provide services and goods such as counseling service books and supplies winter coats and reading to the students we also offer a mentorship program all these things are essential to helping students and families in the community we would like to focus our attention exclusively to your campus if you need formal proposals the president of our committee would be glad to provide whatever you need including background checks.
